Derul Cable's DERUL-SV Servo Motor Cable Series is purpose-built for these environments. Using Class 6 ultra-fine stranded tinned copper, low-capacitance insulation, and wear-resistant PUR jacketing, each cable is designed to outlast the machine it powers.

Derul supplies the raw cable in bulk reels or cut lengths. You handle connector termination. The cable is electrically compatible with drives from:

Engineered for continuous flexing inside cable drag chains, gantry robots, and CNC machine tool axes. The Class 6 ultra-fine stranded tinned copper conductors combined with a low-friction PUR jacket deliver ≥5 million bending cycles at 7.5× OD bend radius. Unlike standard PVC servo cables that crack and short after months in a drag chain, Derul's DERUL-SV series is built for 24/7 automated production lines.

2. Dual Shielding — Clean Signal, No Interference

Electromagnetic noise from VFD drives, spindle motors, and adjacent power cables is the #1 cause of encoder signal dropouts. Derul's encoder cables feature aluminum foil + tinned copper braid double shielding (≥85% coverage) with a dedicated drain wire. Power cables use a single high-coverage tinned copper braid. The result: stable, noise-free feedback signals even in dense control cabinets and cable trays shared with high-power motor leads.

3. 4C Power + 4C Encoder — One Cable Pair, One Machine

The DERUL-SV series covers the complete servo connection:

  • Power Cable: 4-core UVW motor phase + PE ground (optional brake pair)

  • Encoder Cable: 4/6/8/10-core twisted pair, double shielded, with drain wire

Standard orange jacket follows global servo industry color coding for instant identification on the factory floor. Both cables are cut-to-length on reels — ready for connector termination at your end.

4. PUR Jacket — Oil, Coolant & Abrasion Proof

CNC machine tools flood cables with cutting oil, coolant, and metal chips. Standard PVC jackets swell, harden, and crack within weeks. Derul's premium PUR (polyurethane) jacket is tested to IRM 902 oil resistance standards and resists:

  • Cutting oils and water-miscible coolants

  • Hydraulic fluids and grease

  • Metal swarf abrasion

  • Hydrolysis from high-humidity environments

  • UV exposure for outdoor gantry applications

  • Power cable: 4C, 4C+2, 5C, or custom — specify UVW, PE, and brake wire counts

  • Encoder cable: twisted pairs with individual pair shielding — specify number of pairs and drain wire

  • AWG: 26 to 12 AWG, matched to motor wattage

  • Connector termination: bare ends, stripped and tinned, or pre-terminated with your connectors
